O-Sport has been came from idiom Orient (Alvand’s mountain) and Original Persian Sport namely the Persians’ innovated sport that it was Founded by Master Mohammad Ghasem Manouchehri ex World champion of martial arts of Iran on 2005 in the Hamedan- Abbas Abad, located in the west of Iran in the of Alvand’s mountain , and finally the Physical Education Organization of I.R of Iran and the Olympic National Committee of Islamic Republic of Iran recognized the sole national governing body of developing of O-Sport in the Islamic Republic of Iran with the name of O-Sport Committee of I.R of Iran .
O-Sport was developed in the city of Hamedan (one of the oldest city of the world) from indigenous Fighting and Non Fighting methods as an effective combat sports. Through global competitions, WOF the sole international O-Sport governing body aim to promote the O-sport discipline utilizing 2 categories namely the Fighting and Non-Fighting division played in both ring and tatami.

In the Fighting division, it is a combination of boxing, striking; knee, elbow and submission & throw techniques with that can also be classified as an exhibition and a full-contact sport such as (Ahmatan, Agmatano, Amaday, Aksaya styles) incorporating them into one distinct and innovative new sport called the O-Sport.

For non Fighting division is combination of traditional Iranian wood play mix with martial arts techniques called Alak Dolak and gymnastics movements such as (Shadow, Weapons, Fast Demo and Self Defense).

O-Sport is an exciting modern sport and fitness regimen that attracts all walks of life, adults, youth and woman as well all over the world
