The World O-Sport Federation (WOF) is pleased to spotlight the Manouchehri Tourism and Sports Center, an emerging landmark for multi-disciplinary sport development in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Situated in the historic city of Hamedan—the first capital of the ancient Persian Empire and among the oldest continuously inhabited urban centers of the region—the center stands at the foothills of Mount Alvand (Orontes), a location long celebrated for its natural beauty, accessibility, and rich cultural heritage.

The five-hectare estate, historically owned by the Manouchehri family, has for generations been a prominent agricultural domain, particularly renowned for producing premium Iranian walnuts. Today, its unique terrain, favorable climate, and strategic positioning have laid an exceptional foundation for its transformation into a progressive hub for sports, tourism, and environmental initiatives.

A Modern Institution Built on Heritage
Guided by leading experts in sports sciences and aligned with contemporary international standards, the Manouchehri estate has undergone a major institutional transition. It now operates as a distinguished non-governmental center dedicated to advancing Olympic and non-Olympic sports disciplines. This strategic evolution reflects a long-term vision to integrate athletic development with environmental responsibility and regional tourism growth.

Regional Headquarters for International Sports Governance
The Manouchehri Tourism and Sports Center is home to the Central and West Asia regional administrative offices of several international federations recognized by the Alliance of Independent Recognized Members of Sport (AIMS), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). By hosting these offices, the center contributes to strengthening international cooperation, organizational capacity-building, and regional sports governance mechanisms.

A Principal Partner in Global Sports and Humanitarian Initiatives
The center also serves as the official principal sponsor of both the International Humanitarian Games Confederation (H-Games) and the General Association of World Sports Federations (GAWSF) within Iran. Through these partnerships, the Manouchehri Center actively supports the promotion of global sports values, humanitarian engagement through athletic initiatives, and the advancement of international collaborative frameworks.
WOF  congratulates the Manouchehri Tourism and Sports Center for its remarkable progress and its growing role as a regional pillar for sports excellence, innovation, and international cooperation.
